Farm Vlog Episode 3: Young Organic Egg Layers on Pasture
Welcome back to 11 Kettle Farm. Episode 3 of our farm vlog is here, and this week looks a little different at our family farm in Lagrangeville.
We took a break from baking and running the farm stand while we celebrated a very special family occasion: the baptism of our youngest daughter. It was a beautiful and busy family weekend, but as every farmer knows, the daily work still continues.
Our Young Egg Layers on Pasture
As promised, this episode shares a closer look at our young certified organic egg layers and the setup we are preparing for them. We walk through their pasture wagon and show how we are getting the flock ready for life outside on the farm.
We also share our electric-fencing setup, how it helps protect the chickens, and why thoughtful pasture management matters to us. These systems are part of the everyday work behind raising a healthy flock and caring responsibly for the land.
A Real Week on a Family Farm
Of course, farm life rarely follows a perfect plan. Somewhere between the baptism celebration, caring for three little girls, and keeping up with the animals, Kinga lost her voice. It is one more honest part of this week’s story.
Thank you for following along, supporting our Polish-American family farm, and sharing this journey with us. We are grateful to have you here as we raise our family, grow the farm, and learn something new every day.
